Reno Rally 1/2 - SCCA Club Rally

Burnsie ... Livin up to his name!

After a bumpy, bruising but successful Day 1 of the Reno Rally series (2nd overall, 1st in Class 2, 2nd in PGT by 4 seconds), Burnsie encountered some technical difficulties.......

While leading the field on day 2 of this brutal desert rally, we encountered, at HIGH SPEED a very, very large rock. Damage is uncertain at this time, but the rock seems to have crushed the front cross member, sending it up into the power steering rack.  This caused power steering fluid to leak all over the engine bay, including the turbo area - which is very very HOT!  Next we knew, things caught fire.  The fire was dispensed nearly immediately, and full damage report coming soon. Seems as it stands right now, Burnsie here feels that old habits die hard :) either that, or he's got a thing for FIRE! :)

and yes... we're all okay! no people damage.... just car damage :o}
